Detroit Tigers manager Brad Ausmus is missing Wednesday's game against the Philadelphia Phillies because of the death of his mother. A team spokesman confirmed Wednesday that Ausmus' mother had died and that he also was expected to miss Friday's game because of his daughter's high school graduation.
