Sitting on top of the American League, the Chicago White Sox are going to try a new plan for one of their biggest problems. Left-hander John Danks is out after a 10-year run in Chicago, and Erik Johnson will be promoted on Thursday to start against the Boston Red Sox. Looking to build on their surprising 18-8 start, the White Sox decided they had to cut Danks and search for a more reliable option at the back end of their rotation.
