Alexi Amarista's safety squeeze in the seventh scored the go-ahead run and the San Diego Padres benefited from a strange double play to beat the Phillies 4-3 Monday in Philadelphia's home opener. Wil Myers hit a solo homer for the Padres, who had two video reviews go their way. The Phillies trailed 3-2 with the bases loaded and no outs in the sixth when pinch-hitter Darin Ruf lofted a high popup that was immediately ruled an infield fly.
