The Atlanta Braves have activated first baseman Freddie Freeman from the 15-day disabled list but he was not in the lineup against the Cardinals because he was traveling and not expected to land in St. Louis until close to game time. Freeman was placed on the DL on June 23, retroactive to June 15, with a right wrist contusion. The Braves totaled 83 runs in the 30 games Freeman missed, an average of 2.8 per game, and went 13-17 in his absence.
