
A combination of home runs and solid starting pitching has helped the Houston Astros get off to the best 40-game start in franchise history. Chris Carter and Colby Rasmus each hit two-run homers, Roberto Hernandez pitched six strong innings, and the Astros beat the Oakland Athletics 6-4 on Tuesday night. Houston improved to 26-14 for the team's best start and the best record in the American League this season.
