Milwaukee's Carlos Gomez led off Monday night's game at Detroit with a home run, one day after he was beaned by a 96 mph fastball against the New York Mets. Gomez was hit in the left earflap by a pitch from Mets rookie Noah Syndergaard on Sunday. He and Syndergaard exchanged gracious Twitter messages afterward, and Gomez was back in the lineup Monday. He led off with a drive to left off Detroit's Kyle Lobstein.
