Tigers catcher Alex Avila has been put on the 15-day disabled list with a left knee issue, and the team said left-hander David Price has a mild strain of his right hamstring. Detroit announced Avila's move to the DL on Saturday and recalled catcher Bryan Holaday from Triple-A Toledo.
