South Korean infielder Jung Ho Kang can earn $750,000 annually in performance bonuses based on plate appearances as part of his $11 million, four-year contract with the Pittsburgh Pirates. Kang gets $2.5 million in each of the first two seasons of the deal, which was announced Friday, and his salary rises to $2.75 million in 2017 and $3 million in 2018. The Pirates have a $5.5 million team option for 2019 with a $250,000 buyout.
