The San Francsco Giants are going to the World Series! In a thrilling ball game the SF Giants clinch victory against the Phillies in Game 6 in another one point game, 3-2. Champagne (and beer) celebration all around - the camera man and even the video camera in the Giants club had plastic rain suits on. Closer pitcher Brian Wilson got soaked.
The first two innings the Phillies had an edge, leading 2-0. 8th inning Giants & Phillies were 2-2 tie. Brian Wilson is brought in for a 5 out save. Last pitch, locking it down, perfect 3 strikes.
A great win for the Giants, the underdog team of 'misfiits' that came together with the right chemistry, winning against the 'superstars' Phillies, who went to the World Series the last 2 years.
So mayoral bet won - SF Mayor Gavin Newsom will now be sending over the Giants baseball cap over to Philadelphia's mayor Michael Nutter. (

Next game Wednesday night with Texas Rangers.
Go Giants!
