In the meet on Saturday in Lilleshall England, with England and Switzerland, Beth Tweddle of England won every event, and team Britain won by 13.9 points. Ariella Kaslin (the Swiss national all-around champ) got 3rd place (1 and 2 were British). The British used this competition as a second trial for the 2006 World Championships in Denmark, in October 14-21. At 2006 European Championships, Tweddle got the gold on uneven bars, and Kaslan got sixth on vault. By team standings, Great Britain was 7th and Switzerland was 10th.
