China's World Team: Women --> Cheng Fei, Li Ya, Pang Panpan, He Ning, Zhang Nan (2003 Worlds / 2004 Olympic All-Around bronze), Zhou Zhuoru, and the alternate is Huang Lu. Cheng is the high scorer for vault (she got 1st at 2005 Worlds in Melbourne for vault: Yurchenko half-on, layout Rudi off --named after her!!) and Li is for uneven bars. Zhang Yufei is still recovering from shoulder surgery in March. Men's --> led by 2-time Olympians Yang Wei and Huang Xu (they are returning after a year long break from major international competition...kind of like the Bulgarian team getting Ukrainian Viktoria Karpenko after her long break!) ....also, Xiao Qin (2005 Worlds pommel horse champ), Liang Fuliang (bronze on floor x at 2005 Worlds), Chen Yibing, Zou Kai, and the alternate is Dong Zhendong Li Xiapeng is recovering from foot surgery earlier this year, so he's not on the roster, Chinese men won Worlds at 2003 Anaheim Worlds. They all are going to train in France the 1st week of October and then go to Aarhus, Denmark.

Ya, they're not flashy. The Chinese womens team have really good bar pirouettes, not so good on the bar changes from the low bar to the high bar cuz they lose their swing....maybe they should do shaposhes rather than toe ons.
